PRIVACY
An account is optional and the app works fully without one. Signed out, nothing of yours is stored on a server. Signed in, a copy of your collection is — that is the whole point of signing in, and it is worth knowing before you do.
Your collection, your lists, your goals and your settings are saved in your own browser's local storage. They never leave the device you typed them on. Nobody — including whoever runs this site — can see them.
The flip side: clearing your browser data deletes them, and they do not follow you to another device. That is what the Back up everything button is for — it writes a file you can keep or move.
Signing in copies the same things — collection, lists, goals, binder, submissions and settings — to a database run by this site, so that they can appear on your other devices. They stay in your browser as well; the server copy is in addition to it, not instead of it.
Being straight about the consequence, because it is the part people assume away: whoever runs this site can read what is in that database, including your collection. Other users cannot — every request is checked against your login and can only ever reach your own rows — but an operator with database access is a different thing from another visitor, and no amount of code changes that. If you would rather nobody could, do not sign in. The app is complete without it.
Accounts are handled by Clerk, which stores your email address and how you sign in. Passwords, if you use one, are held by Clerk and never reach this site. If you sign in with Google, Google tells Clerk your email address and basic profile, and Google knows you signed in here.
This site stores your user id alongside your cards, and nothing else about you — no name, no location, no payment details, because none are collected.
Back up everything writes the lot to a file at any time, account or no account. In that same panel, signed in, Delete my account data removes everything the server is holding for you. It takes effect immediately and cannot be undone; what is in your browser is left alone.
Deleting your account itself — from the menu behind your avatar — removes your sign-in details from Clerk and deletes your collection from this site at the same time, automatically. Nothing of yours is kept behind after that.
Pricing a card means asking somebody who knows the price. When you look one up, the card's name or code is sent to a price source so it can answer:
A card name, and nothing about you. Your collection is never sent to any of them, in part or in whole — signed in or not, they see a card name and no more. Card images are loaded from those services too, which means they can see that an image was requested.
No advertising, and nothing is sold or shared with anyone. Visitor counts are measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not identify individual people — it counts page views, not visitors. An earlier version of this page said analytics might be added one day; it already had been, which is corrected here rather than left to be noticed.
Until September 2026 this page said there were no accounts and no database, and that was true. Accounts shipped on 8 September 2026 and this page was rewritten the same day. An earlier version promised the rewrite would come before the feature rather than after it, and that was missed by a few minutes — worth saying rather than quietly tidying away.
Nothing about the signed-out experience changed. If you have never signed in, every promise made here before still holds for you exactly as it did.
